How To Train Your Dragon

I strongly recommend the series How To Train Your Dragon. They are funny and interesting and both girls and boys should read them. My favourite book of the series is number 3, How to Spreak Dragonese, where Hiccup and his friends go on an adventure to Rome and Hiccup faces his old enemy, Alvin the Treacherous.
