The Children's Book Week Council in conjunction with Westbooks are having a Make Your Own Story Book competition.  

Entry requirements are:

1. Create a picture or story book that tells an original story using Text and illustrations
2. Include the conventions of a book: sturdy back cover, front cover, title page
3. Book is hand bound
4. Hand written or typed text
5. Photos must be taken by the students
6. Illustrations must be by the student
7. Original illustrations and photos can be scanned
8. Students can work with a partner to complete a book. Max two students
9. Maximum word count is 5000.

The story is about...

James' mother and father get eaten by an angry rhinoceros and James sold the house and lived with his unfriendly aunt.

My favourite character is...

James because he is clever and nice and very smart.

My favourite part of the book...

is when James meets the ladybird, the grasshopper, the centipede, the earthworm and the glowworm .

The story is about...

the Princess in Black and she puts a monster back in Monsterland and the Princess in blankets helped to.

Blacky/Frimplepants because when he is Blacky he is a horse and when he's Frimplepants he's a unicorn.

My favourite part of the book...

is when Princess Magnolia has a playdate.

a detective story where the main character Nancy Drew and her friend Helen and they have to find out who has been stealing at the Lilac Inn and at Nancy's house.

Maud because she is suspicious and mean.

is where they try and find out who stole the diamonds.

Phoenix because he's a boxer who got suspended from school, and breaks into his Mum's lab.

is when they uncover the murderer and kidnapper.

A piranha called Brian loves bananas. Trouble is, Brian's a piranha and his friends aren't happy about his fondness for fruit. No they are not happy at all .
