Graphic Novels
We are introducing a new Genre into our school library. Graphic Novels are cartoon drawings that tell a story and are published as a book.
Graphic novels are only available to year 5 and year 6 as some novels have some young adult themes and are not suitable for the younger children.
With the busy lifestyle today, these graphic novels give readers the advantages to enjoy a novel in a reduced format.

The Invisible Man, A Campfire Graphic Novel by H. G. Wells.
One of the most gripping of H.G. Wells' science-fiction sagas, The Invisible Man is the story of a brilliant young scientist who impetuously experiments upon himself
CHERUB: The Recruit Graphic Novel by Robert Muchamore.
The first book in Muchamore's popular, long-running CHERUB series gets the graphic novel treatment. With a short temper, broken home life, and knack for getting into trouble, 11-year-old James Choke is on the fast track to delinquency.
Amulet - The stone keeper
Amulet is a graphic novel series illustrated and written by Kazu Kibuishi and published by Scholastic. It follows the adventures of Emily, a young girl who discovers a magical amulet in her great-grandfather's house.
The Christmas Carol
This is the classic novel brought to life in full colour! 'I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future'. Classical Comics' first Dickens title is probably his best-loved story. Scrooge gets a rude awakening to how his life is, and how it should be.
