Tim Winton Award
The City of Subiaco proudly presents the 25th annual Tim Winton Award for Young Writers. This creative writing award is open to Western Australian school students and encourages imagination, innovation and creativity.
Entries open at 9am on Tuesday 6 June.

How to enter
The online entry form will be available from 9am on Tuesday 6 June. All entries must be registered online and stories submitted either online, or to Subiaco Library. Entries close at 4pm on Monday 26 June.
To submit your story electronically, upload your entry at the time of registration. To submit a physical copy of your story, print and attach your registration confirmation, and submit with your story to Subiaco Library or via post to:

The Shaun Tan Award has now closed. I hope all students the best of luck, and well done for entering.
National Simultaneous Story Time was a great success and all classes during the week enjoyed the story about the cow that tripped over the moon. Thanks to all the teachers and students who participated and enjoyed the story.
Please provide your students with library bags. It can be a shopping bag, old handbag, even a pillow slip. During the winter months it provided protection from the weather, it helps protect the books from user to user and provides a home for the book from week to week.
